Prioritize areas for catch-up this semester with quick and accurate results – stranded by the standards domains

We understand that it’s been an unusual time for students, teachers and parents and back to school is going to look a little different for everyone this year.

Children will have been learning at different paces during school closures and it’s important to have a clear picture of their strengths, their misconceptions, and any areas for development, in order to best inform your planning and intervention.

But setting a series of formal assessments is probably the last thing pupils, and teachers, want to come back to after school closures.

The math diagnostic tool gives you a snapshot of children’s learning but in a stress-free environment.  It not only provides you with an easy-to-read, stranded report, aligned to your curriculum, but it also sets the questions for each child on Sumdog, ensuring students are answering personalized questions tailored to their needs to keep them motivated and ready to learn.

Easy-to-digest data to inform your teaching

Prioritise skills that need addressing in the new school year using the stranded report that pinpoints areas for development.

Designed for accuracy

We’ve worked with a large team of experienced teachers to give you an accurate assessment of each child against your curriculum.

Delivering personalized learning

The diagnostic tool informs the questions posed to children on Sumdog. By answering questions tailored to their level, students remain engaged in their learning and are motivated to improve.

Students liked it because it was straightforward and gave them a clear indication of the running-time. They found the questions manageable and were not getting overwhelmed or frustrated.

Different math topics require different skills. Your students might have a solid grasp on number, but may struggle with data or geometry.

That’s why results are now reported by strand, so you can quickly and accurately pinpoint each individual child’s strengths and areas for development.

You will also receive an age-related placement result for each student, so you know whether they’re on track for their grade level.

The thing I found particularly useful was the at-a-glance gradients of colour to show areas of strengths and weaknesses across the class - it's not just red, amber, green. The age related placement was also very helpful.
